Tobin Lanzetta

Tobin Lanzetta is a trial lawyer. For more than twenty years he has represented people who were seriously hurt, and families who lost someone, in cases against manufacturers, railroads, transit agencies, trucking companies, cities, counties and school districts. His verdicts and settlements exceed $200 million.
He began his career at Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP, one of the country's leading plaintiffs' trial firms. There he was part of the team that resolved the Santa Monica Farmers Market litigation for $21 million, a case that led the City of Santa Monica to install permanent protective barriers, and he tried Andrews v. Marriott with his partners Bruce Broillet, Scott Carr and Molly McKibben to a $55 million jury verdict, for which the Consumer Attorneys of California named them 2016 Consumer Attorneys of the Year. He founded Lanzetta Law PC to handle a smaller number of cases with the same preparation.
Lawyers in other states regularly ask Tobin to join them as trial counsel. He has represented clients in California, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, New York and Arizona, and he is admitted in California and New Mexico. Recent jury verdicts include $3.5 million in Ventura County for a catastrophic forklift injury and more than $2.5 million in San Bernardino County in a multi-party injury case.
Tobin has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer every year since 2014, including the 2026 Top 100, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs (2020–2027) and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs (2027).
Before law school Tobin pitched for Santa Clara University, then for three seasons in the Montreal Expos and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations. He credits that time with most of what he knows about preparation, and about losing well enough to come back the next day. He received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
