Trial counsel for your serious-injury case
Much of our work comes from other lawyers: a firm with a catastrophic product case that needs a trial lawyer, an out-of-state lawyer with a client hurt in California, or a California lawyer whose case has turned into multi-party litigation with a manufacturer or a public entity on the other side. Tobin Lanzetta has been brought in as trial counsel on cases in California, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, New York, New Mexico and Arizona.
What we bring
A trial lawyer who will actually try the case, with jury verdicts of $55 million, $13.82 million, $3.5 million, $2.6 million and $2.5 million.
Experience with manufacturer, railroad, transit and public-entity defendants and the discovery fights that come with them.
The resources to fund experts and prepare a catastrophic case for trial.
A small docket. We do not take a referral unless we can give it the time it needs.
How it works
We handle referrals and co-counsel arrangements in whatever form fits the case: full referral, joint representation with a defined division of work, or trial counsel brought in at a set stage. Fee divisions comply with California Rule of Professional Conduct 1.5.1, including the written agreement and client consent the rule requires. Please call to discuss terms.
You remain involved to the degree you and the client want. Our practice is to copy referring counsel on significant developments and to discuss any settlement decision with you before it is presented to the client.
Cases we are looking for
Product liability with a catastrophic injury or death. Brain and spinal cord injury. Train, transit and commercial-trucking collisions. Heavy-machinery and industrial-equipment injuries. Dangerous conditions of public property. Multi-defendant cases in California or New Mexico.
Each case is different. Past results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome. Some results were obtained with co-counsel.
