Why a small firm
Most injury firms are built for volume. They advertise widely, sign up thousands of cases and settle nearly all of them. That model works for routine claims. It does not work for a case where the injury is permanent, the defendant is a manufacturer, a railroad or a public entity, and the only leverage is a credible trial date.
We accept a limited number of matters, generally those involving a catastrophic injury or a death, where the facts point to a defective product, a dangerous condition or a corporate or government decision that put people at risk. When we take a case, Tobin handles it from the first meeting through verdict.
Results
$55,000,000 — Jury verdict, Andrews v. Marriott. Named 2016 Consumer Attorney of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys of California for this result, with co-counsel.
$21,000,000 — Santa Monica Farmers Market settlement with the City of Santa Monica and other defendants, on behalf of the victims.
$13,820,000 — Jury verdict, Garcia v. MTA, catastrophic injury caused by a public transit vehicle.
